I order stuff from China - both via eBay and direct - all the=20 time. I have had exactly ZERO bad experiences out of hundreds of=20 transactions with Chinese vendors over the past 5 or 6 years. Moreover, if you order via eBay, your money is guaranteed refunded if=20 you don't receive the product or the product is significantly other=20 than described. I've only ever had to use that refund process once=20 and it worked as advertised - I got my money back and the seller was=20 no longer able to sell on eBay. This guaranteed refund part of eBay is part of what helps keep=20 sellers honest. You are welcome to check my past purchase history if=20 you wish - my eBay user ID is my real name (dwaynereid). My recent=20 purchases are probably 60% US and 35% Asian (includes China and Hong Kong). It might be worth spending a couple of hours searching eBay to see=20 what they might have to offer. However, I suspect that anything=20 inexpensive but full-featured is going to come from Asia. You might=20 have to risk US $8.99 to find out. dwayne PS - I'm going to be ordering a couple of the MP3 players from the=20 2nd eBay link that I sent to the list (my 2nd response to this=20 thread). The only downside is that I have to wait until the middle=20 of February before I can place the order - most of China is currently=20 shut down because of the New Year festival. dwayne --=20 Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax www.trinity-electronics.com Custom Electronics Design and Manufacturing --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
