Tape and DVD players have buttons for the interface. So if you don't have a screen, and you don't have any buttons, then exactly how do you plan to interact with it. Sorry if I didn't define the user interface situation: 1: Computer too much work to just play music, plus cost and size 2: A DVD/Blue ray/CD player can be the interface, and is probably what's go= ing to happen 3: Ideal would be a small back box with the interface, a USB/SD port, and l= ine out (Red/White RCA). This is what my main reason for this thread, I was hoping that someone ma= de this. Apparently there isn't anything made. The unit would be functional just like a DVD, VCR, or casset= te player, except the media is USB/SD. If you can figure out the interface, then a device like the Western Digital WD TV Live Plus would fit the bill. It'll play movies and music. It has a composite audio/video interface/cable out the back. It accepts USB drives. Also if you network it it can play off the house media servers and has applications that connect to the internet. It has a remote. But it uses vid= eo as its interface. So without a screen, it's a bit difficult to get anything done. What briefly, I saw, no user interface is available, including screen. Thanks for the input. :) --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
