A friend buys misc small elec= tronic=20 goods on line from China and they come in by EMS very cheap (<$10freight,=20 sometimes free). Conversely I bring in PCB's from Shenzhen by TNT Express=20 courier air freight and I pay more than NZ$60 base fee + about NZ$20/kg + f= uel=20 surcharges + importing fee + other bits and pieces + tax and brokerage if t= he value=20 is too high. For example, a 6kg of PCB's China to NZ is approx NZ$200 freig= ht=20 (US$165). Accounts for about one third to one half the end cost of the PCBs= .. Asked=20 my PCB supplier if they can send by EMS, they said no :-( --=20 Brent Brown, Electronic Design Solutions 9 Titoki Place, Pukete, Hamilton 3200, New Zealand Ph: +64 7 849 0069 Fax: +64 7 849 0071 Cell: +64 27 433 4069 eMail: brent.brown@clear.net.nz --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
