I have some surplus switching power supplies [SPS] ( all the same model ) t= hat i have been messing with for fun. They output 20 VDC @ 3A. I found a resistor on the PCB that I can change o= ut to get 24VDC. The SPS crashes if more than 100 ma is drawn from it @ 24= VDC. As i reduce the voltage out , the SPS can support more output curren= t. What should I look for that might be responsible for this behaviour ? = i would be delighted to get 24 VDC at 2A out of these units. i can supply = a photo if anyone is interested.
