I would also suggest that you take a closer look at the wall wart. A few ye=
ars ago I had problems with a PC Scope, I turned it on one time and it was =
constantly resetting and running very hot, I sent it back under warranty an=
d it was returned no fault found. On closer examination I realised that I h=
ad picked up a different 12V DC wall wart. When I checked them both with a =
scope, my original wall wart gave a smooth 12V output and the other gave a =
square wave output with an average DC voltage of around 12V - the scope was=
 not happy with that!=20
