The reason I am leaning towards trying to make my own is that I'm really taken with the idea of having a non rectangular case that provides built in bumpers and guards for switches and cables. Another option that I've thought of is to use an existing metal enclosure and building a sort of ring or donut around its outside in plastic that contains all the various protrusions I want. I think I need to do some drafting to see what might work. Thanks!
