Oh, I caught transformer and toroid, and not amperage. Afraid my=20 hobbyist background can't be of much help. But in particular if you will=20 have more than a few of these close together, that chip sounds good. A=20 pair of pigtails, connector, or screw terminals in and out. The sparkfun=20 board looks nice, there are some interesting comments there. Depending=20 what the rest of the project looks like, might just get chips, and mount=20 them on one PCB with ADC, CPU, display, etc. On 1/19/13 4:11 PM, IVP wrote: >> There was an article in Circuit Cellar (or maybe it was Nuts & Volts) a >> few years back, using a Toroid with a few wraps of the 120volt load > I'm looking at making an isolated ammeter using the ACS712 > and an LM358 > > http://www.allegromicro.com/Products/Current-Sensor-ICs/Zero-To-Fifty-Amp= -Integrated-Conductor-Sensor-ICs/ACS712.aspx > > The ACS712 range has 3 versions, +/-5A, +/-20A, +/-30A > > https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8882 > > Joe > --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
