Several years ago, the daughter bought a crossover van with AWD (All=20 wheel drive). I tried to determine exactly how the differentials and=20 transfer case functioned to be able to instruct her the best usage of=20 the feature. She had learned to drive (among other vehicles) a Ford=20 Bronco with manual hubs and tranfer case and limited slip differentials=20 front and rear in heavy snow. Think blasting through 5' snow drifts at=20 50 mph. The crossover's transfer case is serviced as a sealed unit, with=20 no indications of fluid couplings, clutches, or other items that might=20 slip or lockup tight. Search included manufacturer's parts books, and=20 sales dept. for detailed instruction what to do or not do. :( On 1/11/13 7:58 AM, Rossano Gobbi wrote: > Back in the good ol' days, when manuals told you how things actually > work.
