I agree Dwayne, thanks for bringing this to out attention. I also subscribe to the PDF version but will cancel my subscription if it becomes a proprietary format. I like to read EPE on my Nexus 7, but if I am working with one of the projects I have it open on the second monitor of my PC. Even the PDF version has far too many DRM features turned on at times. It makes sense to copy and paste code snippets when working in dual screen mode but DRM prevents it. In such cases I have been known to download a Pirated OCR version in PDF, despite having purchased the original. "staying with the PDF format makes things too easy for the pirates" It will not stop the Pirates but it will be an annoyance to the customer, and as mentioned above, many Pirate Copies appear to be OCR Scans of the Printed Mag, not the PDF version of the Mag. I received an eMail from Elektor Magazine yesterday announcing their Electronic version. It said nothing about format, now that you have pointed this out I think I will confirm that it is PDF before subscribing. Most of the Good Projects in EPE are from Silicon Chip in Australia, maybe its time to ask Silicone Chip if they have an Electronic Subscription.
