37 years ago, we drilled a natural gas well to serve only our house for=20 $8000, 3 years ago we spent $4,000 on maintenance. That plus maybe=20 $1,000 backup/supplemental electricity has heated our house ,including=20 hot water, gas dryer, garage heater in Northern Ohio for the 37 years.=20 And yes, it was a gamble, when money was tight with us, to trust the=20 well driller. Today, it would cost ~$25,000 to drill another well,=20 thinking for the vehicles, but it's not going to happen. :) On 11/27/2012 7:02 PM, Bob Ammerman wrote: > CNG =3D Compressed natural gas > > -----Original Message----- > From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf = Of > Carl Denk > Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 6:38 PM > To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. > Subject: Re: [OT] What does electricity/gasoline cost around the world? > > That don't sound correct, compared with ~$3.50 for 90 octane gasoline for > most states.
