Here in NZ I've just looked at my latest power bill and it's getting as hard to understand as my 'phone bill!. All sorts of levies and supply charges and .... to be added in. But looks like $NZ0.25 / unit plus about $NZ1.00 / day fixed charge. Night rate is about 50% of full rate but that only applies to one heater for us. Petrol is about $NZ 2.17 a litre. Not sure about diesel but it's a bit cheaper. (Road user tax is paid separately). In $US that's about $0.21/ kW.hr plus a fixed rate of $0.82 per day. Petrol (91octane) at $1.77 per litre. Higher octane ratings available up to 98 at higher cost. I don't think 100 octane is available anywhere these days (except for avgas). I usually get to work by electric scooter - power cost works out to about $NZ0.05 per day or $NZ1.00 / month.
