Don't think it's a typo. Both the GP802 and MC802 datasheets say 4.4pF

Leakage for the GP802 is the same as the 18F452, +/- 500nA. The
MC802 datasheet does not have an ADC input model, so I have only
the GP802 datasheet for figures

I wish they'd make their datasheets one-stop and consistent !!

Ric for the 18F452 is 1k, 250 ohms for the GP802

Cpin is 5pF for the 18F452, 'depends on package' for the GP802 and
'effect is neglible if source Z < 500 ohms (10-bit) and if source Z < 5k
(12-bit)'

So, looks like I would be best to go with 500 ohm pots to be in spec
