Can you better describe your application? 0.5mm resolution is really pretty low for most scanning applications I can imagine (600 DPI is about 10 times better) And scanning with an X-Y plotter.... And a single pixel pickup... 600mm /0.5mm 1200 passes... at even 1 ms per pixel that's like 24 minutes of scanning... And I know you're sharp enough to have already thought this... So if you're still looking for a solution, your application must be...
