I guess this is not the best idea but, check out this link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tektronix-THS730A-Handheld-Multimeter-Oscilloscope-= D MM-200MHz-w-2-P6112-Probes-/150920955702?pt=3DBI_Oscilloscopes&hash=3Ditem2= 32397 0736 Saludos Rodolfo -----Mensaje original----- De: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu]En nombre de Isaac Marino Bavaresco Enviado el: Domingo, 21 de Octubre de 2012 07:16 a.m. Para: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. Asunto: [OT] Oscilloscope LCD replacement Dear All, My Tektronix THS730A's LCD screen got damaged. It has an irregularly shaped region near the center of the screen that is faint. If I adjust the contrast then I can see the image in that region, but then the undamaged area gets too dark to be seen. It is clearly something related to the polarizing filters because I can see the stain even with the scope turned off. Besides, the stain contour does not follow the pixel's borders (it is continuous, not serrated). Would it be possible to replace just the polarizing filters? If not, where can I find a replacement LCD panel? This model is long out of production, I think Tektronix doesn't stock its parts anymore. Here in Brazil there is no more official Tektronix representatives anyway, and the guys that have the part in stock charge almost US$1,000.00. I tried to buy a THS720A in e-Bay to use just the LCD panel but was outbid. I appreciate any suggestions.
