I have a never-used board that would be suitable for your project. Garry brand, manufactured for Raytheon. It has 36 rows of 116 pins each (i.e., ro= om for at least 18 x 12 =3D 216 of 16-pin DIPs), plus lots of Vcc and Gnd pins= .. It's 12" x 15" overall, including areas at the ends for various kinds of connectors. The pins have gold contacts where the chips plug into them, but the tails where you wrap your wires are tin-plated. The pins are relatively short -- two levels of wirewrap connections, but not three. Pictures: http://www.dtweed.com/images/20121018/ Wow, I had no idea these were getting such high prices on Ebay (but are the= y, really?) I would be willing to part with this board for $50 plus shipping. I also have smaller boards if this one is larger than you want. Let me know= , and I'll see if I can dig up something suitable. -- Dave Tweed --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
