For a while I shall be avoiding digikey.   Sometime back I was given wrong
information by one of their sale stuff about no VAT at all if order was
with digikey sgp site. It turns they were playing with the $400 no VAT
custom rule here.  As they bill me in SGP dollar and at higher price than
the US digikey pricing, I expect the SGP pricing to include VAT.  In fact,
legally they have to do so.   As I was in need of the parts, after 2 weeks
I yielded paying VAT and the UPS "tax" on tax.   Last round for that part,
I went with a local distributor and got a better deal, but it took too many
phone calls.  Digikey have yet to reply to the feedback but have taken down
their notice of the free duty quietly on the local site.
