Thanks! I didn't even consider to measure the current. Will do and guestimate a=20 value based on that (after an extended burn in watching it from the=20 kitchen table ;) I had been looking into the capacitor plague problem when I decided to=20 take a closer look, and realized that even with 24V and "enable" and=20 brightness signals OK, the PWM controller had no Vdd! Still might replace the bulging 4.7 uF on the power supply. And thanks for the TECH / EE distinction.
