I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to find a supplier for an ongoing quantity of
some sort of 1mm ribbon cable to board connector.   The connector I have in
my mind is something like the one shown at
http://www.toby.co.uk/datasheets/section3/A11a-xx-BT1-G.pdf , if not that
exact connector.   I do need this to connect to a 1mm pitch 'real' ribbon
cable, but am not stuck on that particular style of termination, although I
do need it to be non-removable (my intent is to solder this into a board).
  Staggered pins on the header end, etc. are ok.   And yes, I am aware of
the possibilty of using a female idc connector and a male pcb connector -
but like I said I just would rather have this not detachable, or more
accurately, I'd prefer not to have another contact in the signal path.

I'd though like to find something domestic, or at least more easily
obtainable on the us side of the pond.  Samtec makes a similar connector,
but apparently only sells it already attached to a ribbon cable.   (This is
a fairly cost sensitive application, and I only need the connector one
end).  Other than that I've struck out.
