Sorry, I forgot to tag it writing on the phone. When I noticed I=20 expected a good trouncing. I just learned that mplab stopped working after I unchecked "Auto select=20 memories and ranges" in an attempt to preserve the contents of eeprom. =20 Then I found the checkbox to "Preserve eeprom memory".
