> I've got some files that I can't remove. They are avi or mp4 > loaded from DVD, occassionally mp3 too > i have experienced this and put it down to windows os opening the file to learn about it so it can display attributes like dimension, bit rate, etc and finally a thumbnail screenshot. I figured it could only do this by opening the file and thus locking it in the process. I guessed the process was untidy and never closed the files properly, or just wanted to learn more about them for indexing etc. I now just have limited number of attribute columns viewed. I had some success deleting them by sneaking up on them after a reboot via the command shell. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
