How does digit 1 turn on for the CA type display if that line is at high=20
impedance according to your table?

When you say pins 9 - 16 should be connected together, did you mean pin=20
pairs - [10-9] [8-7] [6-5] etc or really all anodes and cathodes shorted to=
=20
each other?
