The Sureflap is definitely not a "Version 1", it's well though out. And amazingly fast, especially considering the RF is not powered until the cat hits the IR beam. I'd say less than 400 milliseconds response time. I haven't hacked into it. BTW, all pet microchips are the 125 or 134KHz variety.
