Tyre pressure readable remotely using RFID devices embedded in tyres. Just imagine - remotely readable RFID devices in every tyre. They say 500mm range max used at present to ensure correct tyre is being read. ie suggests practical range is liable to be usefully higher. Interestingly, they interrogate and send power at 125 kHz but get pressure mack at 433 MHz using (they say) frequency offset of signal as pressure indication. Presumably the actual modulation is somewhat more sophisticated than that implies. It certainly easily could be. I've put this in [OT] as I imagine others may be able to think of other uses for such technology. http://www.rfidjournal.com/article/view/9697 --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
