I was at Harbor Freight today and they had a coupon for a cheap
digital multimeter with "any" purchase on Labor Day (Monday). Buy
anything from Harbor Freight on Monday and get a multimeter free. The
7 function digital multimeter is normally priced at $4.99.

I have been using this as my backpack multimeter for more than 5 years
for every day non-precision measurements and so far no issues. For
precision, I use my Fluke (disclaimer for finicky piclisters) :-)
