The other thing I'd mention is that app notes like AN734 and AN735 are
good, but target reasonably old PICs. Using a 16F1824, I spent ages
staring at some of the cryptic writes to ADCON1, which didn't match my
datasheets at all! (This was quite a lot of yesterday afternoon...)

Also, every time they talk about registers like SSPCON2, you need to
replace with SSP1CON2. I confess I don't really understand the naming
change. I presume it's so that code will port easily to PICs with
several MSSP modules, but I might be wrong.
