If you can buy anything else, don't buy this one. I can't say this brand is
good or not, buy similar strippers are from China and work for a while and
one day, under normal use, they don't do any more.

David this one is the best I ever used.  Other than the $5,000 one that I
have
that is an automatic stripper and cuter that takes a roll of wire and cuts
to length
and strips both ends.  You just key in haw many and length plus the strip o=
f
each
end.

Has anybody got opinions on "automatic" wire strippers such as those
linked below?  Are they recommended or just gimmicks?

Until now I have been using a very old pair of strippers which have a
screw/nut to adjust the width.  This is annoying as it is quite hard to
set accurately.

I am mostly stripping stranded & unstranded thin wire for PCB assembly
and prototyping, but also thicker wire from power supplies etc.  Happy
to pay a bit more than =A32.50 for a pair of wire strippers that work.
