I just ran into this again a few days ago. I pulled a pair of FRS radios ou= t of storage and the rubberized plastic bodies were very tacky.=20 I found that some scrubbing on the battery compartment cover (easy to remov= e) with 99% isopropyl alcohol took the sticky off, although they plastic is= now this ugly scuffed looking grey.
