Using= a polyphase drive to the coils, it becomes an induction motor.=20 Most pancake motors seem to be BLDC and some axial flux motors might be ind= uction motors but I am not sure. Most design equations for induction motors assume a squirrel cage.=20 I need to be able to take a stab at estimating the torque from the coils an= d eddy reaction.
