Thanks Joe,

I wired up a 24 pin PIC24EP and experimented with 1,0, input and OD. I
saw that pins turned OD or input were at the same level. I used a
multimeter to check the levels.

Would you like to suggest another experiment? Wiring that LDO on a
board would be cumbersome and demo board is ~$175! :-(
