Do you remember those HH slide switches ?. No sounds, no dragging problems, cheap and ready made. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=3Dp5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=3Dhh+slide+s= witch &_sacat=3D0 -----Mensaje original----- De: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu]En nombre de Dwayne Reid Enviado el: Miercoles, 01 de Agosto de 2012 10:49 a.m. Para: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. I suppose that I should have made clear: these announcer boxes are desktop units. They aren't the Ref Mic switches that I also make. One style of those also uses toggle switches but they are far enough away from the mic that the noise simply isn't a problem (the switch is mounted on the Ref's belt, on his side and the mic is either a lav located on his upper chest *or* is a headset mic). >Bur, if you're gong to disassemble the switch, why not put a couple of to9= 2 >hall effects in instead of a flag? I'm actually trying to eliminate any metal-on-metal contact at the end-stops. That's where the 'snick' / 'snap' sound is currently coming from. The advantage of the friction pad is that the toggle lever will stay put wherever it is placed. The reason for using two sensors (one at each end) is to eliminate any ambiguity if the switch is moved to the center position. Its worth a try, anyway.
