With your new suggestions I get 2.5MHz - 330kHz with an
F88. That's ~ 8:1 spread, or / & * 2.75 either side of 908kHz

If I can push it to >3 or even > 4 that would be good. It's
pretty close and Fosc is stable across the range, so there's
something to build on
