Looking for something to help me get started with USB device and slave,=20
plus SD-card development with a PIC32.  I generally prefer to make a=20
custom board (compact and purpose-built), but that will take me a few=20
weeks and I want to get started on this ASAP.

Microchip's Explorer16 will work, but pricey once I get the correct PIM=20
and expansion boards.  Their USB starter kit is very nice (and $55 is=20
great), but the only option I've seen for SD card with that is to get=20
the $250 multimedia expansion board.  So I'm shopping around elsewhere=20
now... any recommendations from other sources?
