The portability is great (as I travel a=20 lot and have a small case with my Pickit2, Saleae Logic analyzer, and=20 some custom super-small dev boards), so I'd prefer not to get an ICD,=20 etc. I really don't do much in the way of debugging as spitting my own=20 test values out via serial or a basic output has always been a=20 clean/direct way to do this. I'm looking at PIC32's for a project which would have SD/FAT, USB host,=20 analog, digital bit-banging, and a keypad/LCD interface. I've been just=20 barely refusing to go to ARM since I already have and am familiar with=20 PIC dev tools and environment. But if I have to get new programmers=20 etc, then I'm going to start re-considering ARM's, as the NXP & ST=20 devices are tempting. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
