I did all that with a pair of EF88 valves back in the 70's, now THAT is
impressive.

I'm joking of course, it was 3 valves :)

Meh.  No longer considered impressive.  These days you have to be able to
decode highly compressed video (H.264?) to HDMI at 1920x1080, while
simultaneously doing stereo CD-quality sound and eye tracking via image
processing of 2MP video input.
And running a couple billion iterations of a AES256 birthday attack because
that's your homework assignment.
