I am intrigued as to how these ' miracle ' devices are supposed to work. These balls consist of some kind of pellets which according to the sales=20 sheet thrust into my mitt at work, works by raising the pH content of the=20 water which in turn miraculously causes the dirt in laundry to be teased=20 out of clothes and held in suspension in the washing machine water. Now, I can sort of see how these mystical pellets may well cause the pH=20 level to change, but my ' what crap! ' radar went into full swing on=20 learning that these ceramic coated balls give off " far infra red=20 wavelengths ". There are a cluster of people at work that swear by these devices, I just=20 think they are being conned. I might outlay $6.00 to try one, though the two for $55.00 offer is one I=20 think I'll pass on. They need to be replenished every 3 years or so. Has anyone here ever tried these or investigated them more fully?
