Unfortunately NOT fast enough. Spec says it stops blade in 1/8 second. 7500 RPM for typical 9" blade is 125 rps x 0.125 sec is 15!! revolutions. Thats a LOT of chopped up flesh. Given that human reaction time is around 0.25 sec, not much of an improvement on yanking your bleeding hand away after it's too late.
