Visualisation can be good.

A light (LED probably) that turns on when a sensor was active and that
was used to "strobe" the spinning  motor would allow comparison of  3
sensors in action and forward/ backward comparisons. An oscilloscope
display does only part of this.

Could be illuminating :-)
