It is not just NDA but why do they ask in the first place? And why would
not they sell it to you if you deny to answer? Can they refuse to sell
actually (according to trading law or to the discrimination act)?

It never happened to me that I bought potato and the shop asked me what
kind of food I am making from it, and even if they do that they cannot say
they are not selling the potatoes only if I tell this info to them :-)
