> what a cool piece of kit, I'm looking forward to having a play tonight! As of today mine is still in the US. Digikey did their usual song and dance re asking about intended end use. As it's a super-dangerous ITAR munition that must not fall into the wrong hands they needed my assurance that I was only to use it for light-side applications. I may have to leave it at home next time I travel to China. My initial description of application said I wanted it to evaluate the various capabilities of the product, but apparently that wasn't good enough. So UI sent them a nice list of creative possibilities, all of which would be nice to get to sooner or later. Fitting my answer in their ITAR reason box may prove problematic. To make up for the delay the nice folk at Farnement14 this morning delivered 17kg of freight-free p order - including 4 x steel shell 44 drawer parts-cabinets all the way from the UK. At least, they certainly BETTER be freight free - that's what the offer said. Very nice they are too - 44? drawers, steel case. Nicely made. Soon to have plastic drawers lightly sprayed with Nickel spray to notionally ESD protect them - yet to investigate whether plastic used is ESD-OK as is but no reason to think so.
