I'd really like to put the above question to a "proper" maths=20 instructor and get their opinion. Unfortunately, I don't currently=20 know any "proper" maths instructors. However, referring back to the original question: 6/2(1+2) directly=20 implies that the "2(1+2)" operations must be done first. That is: it=20 does for me.
