I would suggest the following.....
Get a module that supports Linux.......
   GuruPlug , DreamPlug , RaspBerryPi , Ubuntu on Android ( http://www.ubun=
tu.com/devices/android )  ( or a cheap laptop )
Add some video via USB webcams ( I love the LogiTech C910 $50  http://www.l=
ogitech.com/webcam-communications/webcams/devices/6816 )
Add some video via USB video capture ( USB 2.0 EASYCAP CAPTURE $11 )
Use an app something like http://www.zoneminder.com/=20
I have more suggestions if you want them.
