I don't know why he needs such a fancy setup, I have previously described h=
ere doing the same with a current limited power supply, and a sensitive DVM=
, 4 1/2 digit or higher. With a power supply limited to a suitably low curr=
ent just measure the volts across each component, the lowest voltage is the=
 dud one.
