=A0I have a circuit I put together and the last time I built it..worked fin= e.=A0 Did about 10 boards, and it was based on the Jan Axelson 555 where it= controls the direction based on the transmit data (normally the 485 side i= s enabled).=A0 I have a USB to RS485 adapter to test from FTDI (USB-COM485-= P-PLUS1) and I and TTL to RS232 dongle on the other side. Running Terraterm for both, when I send data from the RS485 side, it shows = up just fine on the other side (TTL side).=A0 However when I send from the = TTL side, nothing shows up on the screen for the RS485 side. The LEDs on the RS485 dongle light up on both the transmit and recieve just= fine, and in fact hooking a scope up to both sides, I can see the correct = character from the TTL to the RS485. So I think its something that Terraterm doesnt like.=A0 Is there a better t= erminal program? --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
