They were also the province of Zetex and Ferranti (both now in the ownershi=
p of someone else). The Ferranti package was known as the E-Line IIRC.

Ah, found them, the web site for Zetex takes you to the website for Diodes =
Inc that now owns them, and if you go to the bipolar transistors parameter =
table you can search by package, and they have some "E-Line" packages that =
you should be able to search for. Max 2.41mm thick according to the picture=
 that comes up with a mouse hover.
