Am I correct that hardware-wise the PIC development board for $3.75 should =
be able to program another copy of itself ?

What is required is software to bit bang emulate a serial port and to send =
programming signals to a second board.
RA0 and RA1 can be the serial port.
RA2 and RA3 can drive the programming for the second module.

Is this correct ?
