This is t= he Freeview version of the satellite receiver that Humax make for the UK ma= rket, and has an Ethernet port on it, that will connect to things like Face= book, twitter, iPlayer, etc through the Humax Portal.=20 But as a bonus it allows other devices that are DLNA compliant to play file= s stored on its hard drive, over the Ethernet. There is a suitable program = that runs on a PC that will do this. There is a group that have done other software for it, which can be downloa= ded in to the box, as it runs Linux as its background OS, and they can remo= ve the encryption from the stored files, and do remote EPG setup from anywh= ere in the world. Check their forum at http://hummy.tv/forum/ I haven't checked to see if the same features are available on the satellit= e versions of the box, but there are forums on that link for them as well. The HDR-FOX T2 cost =A3199 plus shipping from Humax Direct. The HD-FOX T2 n= on-hard drive version can be got for just under =A3100, and you can add a U= SB HD to it to do recording. One of the guys uses one as a slave player on = his HDR-FOX T2.
