One of the better features of inexpensive drills with pretty good chucks and gearboxes is that when the cheap as s*** battery dies you've still got a pretty good chuck and gearbox left. And at the price who would feel any remorse cannibalising a chuck that can take a very small bit and fits in a bench press At one time I collected a pile of thrown-out battery drills and re-jigged the motors and gearboxes as curtain pullers. Tough little things and they work marvellously.
