Not sure if this is EE, Tech or OT Before I spend an exorbitant AU$9.99 and take an Airwick(tm) odour=20 detecting device apart, does anyone on the list know what type of sensor it= =20 might use to perform this feat? I thought possibly a gas sensor, or maybe an O2, I doubt that they would be= =20 using a laboratory sensor that is tuned to certain molecules (at that=20 price). How would it know the difference between smelly flowers or burnt=20 carbonised food? I know there are sensors that can detect keytones and=20 esthers and used in wine production, but again I reckon the price would be= =20 out of the reach Reckitt and Colman/Benckiser even at volume. -- cdb, 31/12/2011 =20 -- colin@btech-online.co.uk --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
