On drain, i.e. in serie? Then the ferrite bead must pass a lot of current, =
50A or more pulsed current.

The zener is a good idea in any case, as it protects the gate from electros=
tatic damage (IIRC without power the TPS2816 output to ground measured in t=
he megaohms).

However the ferrite bead through the gate really solved it 100%, so now I h=
ave many options but this one is probably the cheapest.
