Say, with nominal output voltage of 12V, dropping down to maybe no lower=20
than 8V as Vin goes down to 10V. Output current ~1A.

Couldn't find anything off-the-shelf. Considering cascading several=20
switching supplies, are there any better options? Potential volumes are in=
=20
the thousands.
